With Air Max Day around the corner, Kim Jones puts his own take on one of his favorite silhouettes, the Air Max 95. “This latest capsule celebrates one of my favorite Nike shoes, the Air Max 95, by looking at the way it could be addressed with modern technology,” the designer says.
For his Air Max 95, Jones aims to bridge tech and aesthetic. The toe cap features a mini-Swoosh and a perforated upper inspired by the Air Max 360. The sneaker will debut in the sneaker lovers favorite colorways; Total Orange and Volt with an inverted gradient effect. The sneaker also features key design elements such as the shoes eye stays which were made popular in recent icons such as the Zoom Fly SP and React Element 87.
The sneaker will also include some apparel to accompany it with bold, brash wordmarks and a mix of neutral and neon colors.
The Air Max 95 x Kim Jones capsule releases March 19 on SNKRS and at select retailers.
