This summer Nike will be releasing two new Nike Flyleather sneakers; Air Force 1 and the Blazer Low. The sneakers will be adorned in whimsical upper treatments from Tokyo-born artist Mayumi Yamase. The cool thing about Flyleather is that it is made with at least 50 percent recycled leather fibers. The design is minimal but features a ton of muted, earthy pastels.
“Community gives me a sense of comfort and fun in my daily life, but it also stretches my imagination and surprises me, leading to discoveries in my own artwork that challenge my expectations,” she says.
The Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather and the Nike Blazer Low Flyleather release beginning May 19 on SNKRS, NikeLab MA5 and DSM Ginza (Tokyo).
